Johannes Lang was born in Regensburg in 1988 and began making music at an early age. At the age of six he learned to play the piano and only a few years later became a singer in the choir of the Regensburger Domspatzen. During High School he joined pop and rock bands as a singer and keyboard player and learned to play the guitar autodidactically. More and more his own song ideas emerged and Johannes Lang started to get enthusiastic about composition and film music. By studying musicology at the University of Regensburg, Johannes Lang was able to pursue his passion further and has since composed music for film, television, multimedia and other media formats.
In 2014 Johannes Lang moved to Stuttgart, where he worked for an audio design agency as well as a music management company. Since 2016 he's lived near Munich and currently works as a freelance film composer.
When Johannes Lang saw the film "Sleepy Hollow" (1999) by Tim Burton as a child, it triggered a fascination for folkloric sagas and mystical nature to this day. Further films like "The Blood on Sata's Claw" (1971), "The Blair Witch Project" (1999), "Hagazussa" (2017) or "The Witch" (2015) have served as influences in his music. Main inspirations such as nature and folklore as well as supernatural and atmospheric elements can be found throughout his work.
In April 2022 Johannes Lang released his EP "Hypernormal" which contains five piano compositions. Johannes Lang is always working on new music and his newest releases can be found on Spotify,
